The first non-medical children’s apparel to be awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the National Eczema Association.  Our products are skin-friendly, eco-friendly, and a more parent-friendly option that has truly unique functionality in the softest fabric and cutest designs.

We Use a Plant that Requires Less to Produce More

Aside from its beautiful fabric with beneficial qualities, we’re proud to use bamboo from an environmental perspective.  It’s more sustainable than some of the other plants that are used to make clothing, i.e., cotton, because it grows extremely quickly (up to three feet per day) and doesn’t require nearly as much water.  On top of that, it’s grown organically, or without the use of fertilizers or pesticides!

We Use a Process that Minimizes Our Ecological Footprint

After our bamboo is harvested and cut into small pieces, it’s soaked in a non-toxic mixture to soften it.  In order to ensure that this necessary step is as eco-friendly as possible, we use a “closed loop” system, meaning that all of the water and agents are recycled and used again for future batches.  (Not to worry:  all chemicals—for instance, salt—used during this process are extracted, so our finished products are certified by Oeko-Tex as completely chemical free!)

We’re a ZERO Plastic Company

Because we care deeply about reducing our ecological footprint, we use only environmentally-friendly packaging.

Certain Prints Are Created to Help Protect the Environment

All proceeds from our Koala print benefit WIRES, Australia’s Wildlife Rescue Organization; our Ocean print removes one pound of trash from the oceans per purchase with the assistance of our partners at The Ocean Foundation; and a portion of the proceeds from our Daisy print is being donated to Save The Bees.

“We want to do our part to help children all over the world, which includes protecting the environment they are growing up in.” – Tamara Kaakani,  Founder of Bellabu Bear
