Mount Lai has worked diligently to reduce the environmental impacts caused by their production operations. Each year they evaluate their business practices to find ways to reduce carbon emissions and have partnered with Carbonfund to offset their business operations and shipping emissions.
Since joining the Carbonfree Small Business Partnership program in early 2021, Mount Lai has offset 72 metric tonnes of greenhouse gas emission to neutralize their business operations and offset an additional 171 metric tonnes in shipping emissions. In addition, their paper packaging is also made from recycled paper and they encourage the reuse of the packaging for storage.
