November 01, 2021

Carbonfund.org is pleased to partner with Eastern Shipping Worldwide. Eastern Shipping Worldwide provides freight forwarding, logistics management, and customs brokerage services for importers and exporters who are transporting international container shipments.  From ocean freight and air cargo, to intermodal rail and trucking transportation – Eastern operates their own offices on three continents, to provide a better shipping experience. Easy going for shippers. Easy going for their cargo. Americas | Europe | Asia-Pacific

Eric Wagner, President of Eastern Worldwide Shipping, says “For the balance of energy that cannot be minimized, limited or reduced, Eastern has recognized the importance of replenishing spent resources.” Wagner continues, “Our team has been actively seeking ways to offset that footprint. We genuinely value giving back to the environment for whatever resources we have consumed and aligning with Carbonfund.org Foundation has provided a responsible and proactive way for Eastern to fulfill this commitment.”

Eastern Shipping Worldwide proudly supports the Envira Amazonia Project through Carbonfund.org. The Envira Amazonia Project is a Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD+) project, protecting nearly 500,000 acres (200,000 hectares) of tropical rainforest. The project is expected to mitigate the release of more than 12.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions while preserving the habitat for an extraordinary amount of biodiversity and directly benefitting local communities.

Eastern Shipping Worldwide is committed to fostering awareness within their organization that each person has a direct impact on the environment. With that awareness comes responsibility – to do whatever Eastern can do to minimize their carbon footprint. Within their own organization Eastern has implemented standards to minimize consumption, limit wastefulness, and bolster efforts to re-purpose resources whenever possible.
