July is a modern consumer appliance company, reinventing how we think about traditional appliances. With a focus on design, user experience, and our environmental impact, July recently introduced its first product, a reimagined window air conditioner.
July is keenly aware that air conditioning has a major impact on the environment. That’s why we are doing what we can to reduce and mitigate our impact. For starters, we use a state-of-the-art refrigerant in our most popular models, which has a reduced GWP (Global Warming Potential) when compared to the more common refrigerant used in the U.S. market. Beyond that, we partner with Carbonfund.org to offset 1 year’s worth of A/C emissions for every A/C we sell – at no cost to the customer. We’re continuing to invest in the technologies and processes that will help make cooling better for the planet.
“There’s no denying that cooling is bad for the environment – but being subjected to hot conditions can also be harmful for human health. July is on a mission to reduce the negative environmental impact that cooling has on our planet – and one of the key steps is in partnering with Carbonfund.org to offset the emissions from every product we sell.” – Muhammad Saigol, Founder & CEO
