Earlier this year, eco-friendly products company Friendsheep joined the Carbonfree® Small Business Partnership Program in order to reduce a set quantity of estimated annual operating and product shipping emissions through Carbonfund.org.
By making annual donations to Carbonfund.org, Friendsheep is able to neutralize a portion of their annual operating and product shipping emissions, by supporting third-party validated and verified carbon offset projects around the world.
Friendsheep designs and produces eco-friendly products that reduce the use of single use plastic and toxic chemicals commonly found in household commodities like dryer sheets, fabric fresheners, and pet toys by offering reusable zero waste alternatives. Friendsheep products are handmade in Nepal, are fair trade and cruelty free certified.
Friendsheep sells package-free compostable products via their website and use only compostable and 100% recycled paper packaging when necessary. Part of the company’s proceeds are donated to animal rescues, wildlife conservation, marine conservation, and environmental nonprofits. Friendsheep is a partner of EdenProjects.org, with whom the company plants a tree for every product sold. Friendsheep also is a 1% for the planet member and is partnering with Carbonfund.org to carbon offset product shipping to the warehouse and to the customers.
We believe in the urgency of minimizing our carbon footprint as much as possible,” explains Valeria Isaacs of Friendsheep. “We think it is our responsibility to do so as humans and as a business as well, which is why we are looking forward to partner with Carbonfund.org.”
