Design Laboratory Expands Environmental Commitment with Carbonfund.org

New Carbonfree® Business Partner Design Laboratory is a consulting services firm located in the Pacific Northwest US that helps its clients achieve organizational alignment, manage complexity, and implement goals and changes so they compete, excel, and prosper.  The firm focuses on five major areas of corporate activities: Project and Program Management, Privacy, Business Intelligence, Training and Readiness, and Customer Relationship Management.

Design Laboratory also is committed to socially responsible business practices, including ongoing initiatives to reduce and recycle waste, minimize business travel, and offset unavoidable emissions.  As part of this commitment, Design Laboratory assessed its estimated annual operating emissions then joined the Carbonfree® Business Partnership Program to neutralize the negative environmental impact of those emissions by supporting Carbonfund.org’s third-party validated and verified carbon offset projects that are avoiding, reducing or sequestering carbon dioxide emissions around the world.

As a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, the Design Laboratory team strives to take practical actions to build the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption into internal policies, practices and culture.  Its new commitment to neutralizing operational emissions is in line with these goals and gives further strength to the company’s leadership in sustainable business practices.
