Since 2007, Forever Cheese has partnered with Foundation to actively support reforestation and renewable energy projects, demonstrating the proactive steps it is taking to fight against global climate change. Forever Cheese, pioneering importer of unique cheeses and specialty foods from Italy, Spain, Portugal and Croatia, has spent the past 13 years making donations that are the equivalent of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from over 30 million miles driven by the average passenger vehicle, CO2 emissions from over 1,900 homes electricity usage for 1 year, or carbon sequestered by over 12,000 acres of US forest. This past year they have invested 80% of their funds in U.S. renewable energy projects (including both wind and hydro-electric) and 20% of their funds in reforestation.

“We are very proud of our thirteen-year partnership with Forever Cheese,” said Eric Carlson, President at Foundation. “Their generous support toward our world class renewable energy and reforestation projects have made a substantial impact on climate change mitigation. We commend Forever Cheese for partnering on this vital work to ensure a better future for the next generation.”

Forever Cheese partners with many suppliers and farms that use alternative energy like solar or biogas for power. They help support and uplift small closed-circle, sustainable producers and continually look for ways to increase their commitment to preserving the environment. This combination of both internal and external carbon reductions helps Forever Cheese reach their sustainability objectives while protecting important biodiversity and encouraging the shift to clean energy solutions.

“We are very proud of our longstanding relationship with Foundation.  We believe wholeheartedly in their mission and projects supporting wind energy, reforestation and carbon footprint offsets and will work harder than ever to obtain a cleaner, brighter future,” said Michele Buster, President of Forever Cheese.
