Volkswagen Encourages Paperless Statements, Supporting Carbon Neutral Project
This week Volkswagen Credit (VCI) and Carbonfund.org announced the launch of Drive Paperless. For each paperless monthly statement enrollment, VCI will contribute $1 to the Volkswagen Carbon Neutral Project. The initiative could result in $20,000 or more for the Project.
Since 2007 when VW and Carbonfund.org announced the Project, it has reforested hundreds of acres of Northeast Louisiana’s Lower Mississippi Alluvial Valley. The region’s carbon absorption rates are among the highest of any area in the US, making the area a good place for reforestation, while also protecting habitats for local species such as the Louisiana Black Bear.
If you drive a VW or will soon, be sure to participate in the Drive Paperless program. You’ll not only help the Carbon Neutral Project, you’ll save paper and trees by opting for paperless statements.
