Now in its second century, Audubon is dedicated to protecting birds and other wildlife and the habitat that supports them. Our national network of community-based nature centers and chapters, scientific and educational programs, and advocacy on behalf of areas sustaining important bird populations, engage millions of people of all ages and backgrounds in conservation.

Audubon is committed to addressing climate change both internally and in our efforts to encourage passage of comprehensive climate change legislation.

Environmental Commitment

The National Audubon Society has partnered with Carbonfund to offset a climate change advocacy workshop in DC, our annual retreat and conference in Park City, Utah that focused on developing solutions to climate change within Audubon, and we plan to offset future events including another workshop in DC in June.

“The time for action on climate change is now. Lawmakers should move quickly to adopt mandatory measures that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy legislation helps serve as a down payment toward that goal.”—John Flicker, President, National Audubon Society
