Articulate demonstrates its commitment to the environment in two significant ways. Articulate software is used by organizations to deliver training over the Internet instead of traditional face to face, instructor led training. Customers of Articulate software reduce their carbon footprint by avoiding the travel associated with face to face training sessions or events. Articulate also possesses a strong commitment to the environment in its work practices. All of its products (software and documentation) are available as Internet download only – avoiding the carbon footprint associated with traditional warehouse and shipping distribution methods. Sales calls are done via the phone and/or as a web-based demo and Articulate does not partake in direct mail campaigns. All employees work from their homes using low-energy PCs. Articulate is justifiably proud of the impact it has had on reducing the carbon footprint of its customers and as a result of its work practices, but acknowledges there is much more work do be done.
