San Jose, CA, August 8, 2008 – ETMG announced today that it is offsetting its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org, one of the country’s leading carbon offset organizations. ETMG has donated to offset 35 tons of carbon,  an amount that qualifies it as a carbon neutral company. This commitment establishes ETMG as an environmental leader in the high technology marketing community and demonstrates the proactive steps it is taking in the fight against global climate change.

ETMG, a technology marketing agency, has created a virtual business model, based on advanced communications and collaborations solutions, that has allowed it to decentralize operations.  The team of more than 100 consultants operates out of home offices through virtual connections, eliminating the need for office space, energy consumption, paper use, business or industrial processes, business travel, and commuting. As energy prices skyrocket, and the impact of consumption has shown its adverse effects, ETMG felt it was time to take a more proactive step toward supporting the environment by offsetting the company’s carbon footprint.

ETMG has partnered with Carbonfund.org to offset the already small amount of carbon dioxide emissions it produces in an effort to completely neutralize the impact its operations have on the environment.  Additionally, ETMG will donate 500 pounds of carbon credits through Carbonfund.org for every new purchase order opened by a client.

ETMG elected to partner with Carbonfund.org after careful research because of the high impact green causes Carbonfund.org supports, and the success that the foundation has had creating momentum for environmental issues.

“Taking care of our environment has become part of our central mission to provide a unique and affordable service offering to our clients,” said Michael Grodin, co-founder of ETMG. “Our ability to leverage cutting-edge technology for all our communications and operational needs is a tribute to our clients and the incredible products they develop, and showcases the possibilities of a new era of conservation.”

“By eliminating the need for environmentally-destructive commutes and wasteful office fundamentals such as parking, paper, and air-conditioning, ETMG has already established itself as an environmental leader in the communications sector by reducing all it can,” said Eric Carlson, Executive Director of Carbonfund.org.  “Now, by offsetting the emissions they cannot avoid, ETMG is fully living up to Carbonfund.org’s motto: ‘Reduce what you can, offset what you can’tTM.’  We’re thrilled to welcome them onboard.”
